So, now we are just waiting to see what the bid is on the shed. Scott recommended someone he knows, who came out last Saturday to see what we wanted. He told me Thursday that he was waiting on a materials quote, but that he was at $1200 for labor. I guess I feel like this is a bit high, but am going to wait and see what materials end up being, and if he is negotiable on the labor. We'll see. I'm more inclined to just do it than Penny, but that is also because if I have to pay another month of board I will kill myself.
Also, we are going to get a bid on Scott's labor for putting posts in and hanging fence on the other side of the driveway, aka, my arena. I think I have convinced Penny we should do it right away, even though we'll be broke balls after that. BUT, I am willing (ha ha, like I have a choice), to not get ANY arena base this year, if we can get that other field done. Because, it's really the only good spot to do any kind of lunging, hacking, whatever I can manage this winter. It's compromise-ish.
Dog sitting Elwood and Walter this weekend, as well. When Walter isn't barking, pissing on everything, licking his nuts, or getting stuck under the back porch, it's really nice having them around.
(one second out of 24 hours in which they look cute and well behaved!)
